Sally Pendlebury

Sally Pendlebury is a founder member of the Vellinger Quartet. Born in Britain and trained at Londonís Guildhall School of Music and Drama(where she is now Professor of Cello and Chamber Music) and in D¸sseldorf and Boston, she was a Shell/LSO laureate and winner of the Capital Radio Award. She is a member of the Chamber Orchestra of Europe and has guest-led the cello sections of the HallÈ Orchestra, Scottish Chamber Orchestra and the Northern Sinfonia. Her colleagues in chamber-music have included Gidon Kremer, Yuri Bashmet, Stephen Isserlis, Martin Roscoe and Bernard Greenhouse.
