Conway Hall end of year concert cl, pf, str 4
Clarinet,piano, str 4

This last concert of the year at Conway Hall was a very special event, and attracted an uncommonly near-full house.

Founder Kathron Sturrock gave an immaculate account of the best of Mozart's piano quartets, which has doubtless been in her repertoire for decades.

After a "mulled wine" festive interval, we were regaled with as fine and involving a performance of the Brahms quintet for strings and clarinet (I purposely chose that ordering) as I have heard through half a century and more, since the Busch Quartet with Kell (1937), a lifelong favourite in my collection.
